Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, today announced the XXIII School Theatre Festival to be held from 6 until 18 May at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy, depicting 10 plays directed at children.
This initiative involves a total of 201 students for 9 schools (7 Infant and Primary schools and 2 special education centers) who have prepared themselves as actors, to be provided assistance to 3,130 students from over thirty schools .
Maroto, fidelity is important to note that during these 23 issues have kept the schools, without whose cooperation it would not be possible to continue with the sample.
Today, we consider the program 'Living Theater' for the Department of Education as one of the most established and every year veteran intends to schools.
The aim of the exhibition is to integrate artistic aspects that contribute to improving the comprehensive education of young people by involving the institutions themselves to improve the quality of teaching.
Parallel to the event, there will be an animation to welcome foreign visitors with a staging of the pet Braulio.
The sessions, which will be held in the morning, will double most days, being the first at 10.00 and the second session at 11.30 am. In each session, the representation corresponds to a different school of participants of the same.
The Exhibition will open on Monday, 6 May with the work Drilito in Search of the Lost Egg, author Cristina Rojo, represented by students from Sacred Heart School Board directed at children.
Programming this year is to highlight the great variety of theatrical genres and subjects, from children's stories and plays to musicals: The Tin Soldier by Hans Christian Andersen, The Wizard of Oz, Frank Baum, etc..
This year's edition closes May 18th at 11:00 pm in a ceremony in which all groups of theater and its actors-school will receive a diploma and a small gift as a souvenir of their participation.
