Defence Minister says the Spanish submarine work envelope "to help realize the legitimate aspirations of the Libyan people"

The Defence Minister, Carme Chacón, visited the Submarine Base of Cartagena (Murcia), which has seen the departure of the submarine 'Mistral' to relieve the 'Tramontana' in Operation Unified Guard to seize weapons and mercenaries Libya.
Carme Chacón pointed out that "military action alone will not solve the conflict in Libya, but will prevent the deaths of more innocent and help build a future of justice and freedom."

More than a month to patrol assigned areas
The submarine 'Tramontana' sailed from its base in Cartagena on March 21 due to the eastern Mediterranean.
With a staff of 64 people, is now patrolling the areas assigned by the Unified Command Operation Protector of NATO.
The subs are great offensive capability units, which have the advantage of operating in a covert for long periods of time.
Its missions include intelligence gathering and reconnaissance and information in advanced areas to support a naval force.
