The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, and the police chief, Carlos Llorente Sánchez, will chair the next Monday, March 25, the inauguration ceremony of the new head of the Commissariat of National Police in Cartagena, Alfonso Navarro López.
Commissioner Alfonso Navarro Lopez has 53 years, holds a degree in Criminology and has taught at the School of Legal Practice at the University of Murcia.
He joined the Superior Police Corps in 1980, taking his first assignment in the Police Headquarters in Catalonia.
There he performed his duties as head of the groups of violent robberies and crimes against life and sexual freedom until 1996 when he moved to the Police Headquarters of Murcia.
In 1999 he took over the direction of the Robbery-Homicide Group, until in 2002 rose to the rank of chief inspector and was appointed section head of Specialist Crime Unit and Violent Murcia.
In 2007 he was appointed head of the local police station in Lorca, where he remained until 2008, when he ascended to the rank of Commissioner of National Police Force and was assigned to the Police Station of Almería, where he served as chief Territorial Operations Coordination Unit to date.
During his career he has been awarded numerous public congratulations and has been awarded the Police Merit Cross with Red Badge and Police Merit Cross with White Distinction.
