SPCT proposes the creation of an employment assistance at home, so that this service reaches more Cartagena (19/04/2011)

Social policy should be one of the cornerstones of the municipal government.

In this sense, our electoral program raises the need to modernize the municipal social services, rejecting purely political or charitable assistance.

In this regard, we propose that the UTS is becoming more multidisciplinary teams solving capacity, avoiding bureaucratization of social work and providing comprehensive care to the problems, so from SPCT think that UTS must be decentralized, so should be placed in every district and county of Cartagena.

Also from SPCT think social services need to change the concept of charity and responsibility, so that the user gets help, and in return it must offer the municipality pays attention to their hard work.

In this line we are committed to implement the socio-occupational pathways, which are to prepare the users of social services in social and employment skills, in order that they are willing to find employment.

Therefore, from SPCT we need to create the bag users of social services for employment, to launch social clauses in procurement processes, so that any company working for the council included among its workers to people in risk of social exclusion.

Finally we think it is necessary to encourage the City Council help in the home, currently only take place in Cartagena 450 people and primarily through an external company.

In that sense we need to create a municipal employment of home help and encourage more inter-generational living alone betting that more students benefiting from their homes.
