The Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, school belonging to the Ministry of Education has prepared the twelfth week of the guitar, held in the Conservatory own 25 to April 30 and is positioned as a festival dedicated to this instrument as regional and national level.
With the collaboration of the Department of Celebrations of the City of Cartagena, the Directorate General of Culture, Cultural Murcia today.
Creative Capital and Cajamurcia Foundation, the twelfth edition of this festival is organized around three main activities, such as the concert series, exhibition of violin guitar, unique in Spain, and training courses.
The aim of this event is to disseminate the rich musical and artistic heritage around the guitar and promote the concerns of younger generations who are dedicated to it.
In this regard, especially the flamenco festival supported by the recent addition to the Conservatory of Cartagena of the new specialty of flamenco guitar and flamenco singing.
And this year a nod to her other sisters, electrics and acoustics, that in the near future will also become part of the specialties of the conservatory.
CONCERT SERIES
The week offers a series of concerts by top-level performers to be held in the Auditorium of the Conservatory.
The program opens with a bet by guitarists of our community and a nod to The Ladywriters electric guitar, acoustic tribute to Dire Straits, and closes with flamenco guitarist Pedro Sierra, trio, with the singer Juana Salazar dance.
Also bet the first time by acoustic guitar, with the figure of accomplished guitarist, singer and songwriter Franco-Algerian, Pierre Bensusan.
And the classical world, there will be a reminder to the international figure of Murcia, Manuel Diaz Cano in the hands of the acclaimed guitarist Carmen M ª Ros.
The proposal will be heard solo José Luis Martínez and repeat the great Czech guitarist Pavel Steidl, who was the surprise last year.

Admission is free until all seats.
EXHIBITION "N NATIONAL LUTHERAN A GUITAR
On Saturday 30 April there will be the Twelfth Exhibition of Violin-guitar, which has established itself as the only activity of its kind in Spain and Cartagena has become a reference for the guitar builders around the country, quoted the some do not fail.
This exhibition provides an opportunity to behold the beauty of their instruments, listening to their sound and contrast the innovation with guitarists dedicatee.
Throughout the various editions have been exposed more than 300 instruments from classical guitar, flamenco, acoustic, copies of antique instruments and even an electric bass, involved nearly hundred guitarists.
Parallel to the exhibition is being scheduled activities, lectures and samples related to the violin, with interpreters, with the story, well-nourished participants guitars hearings in the Auditorium or in different classrooms by guitarists of all levels.
This occasion will be the framework for the round table about The Guitar Orchestra, a group that is taking increasingly harder, with some peculiarities and challenges of repertoire and instrumentation very heterogeneous even as each.

Course of Formation "N
Another important aspect of the Guitar Week is education, hence they have organized courses and master classes for professionals and students, offering the opportunity to compare ideas on instrumental technique, teaching, interpretation and repertoire internationally renowned professors.
These courses have been held since the first edition, which made the presence at the Conservatory of Cartagena of the most prominent figures in the teaching worldwide.
So this year trainees will have the opportunity to enjoy the extensive experience of M ª Carmen Ros, a teacher par excellence of the guitar sound, and Pavel Steidl.
Flamenco guitar classes will be present with Pedro Sierra and for the first time, visit the classrooms of acoustic guitarist Pierre Bensusan Center.
The new proposal this year is the specific course for guitar recording by the specialist Jose Luis Martínez Moreno. The courses offer two types of registration: student and student active listener.
In the active mode of the trainees have individual classes of instrument, which will interpret the code proposed by them.
In a complementary way may participate as listeners in other courses without charge.
In listener mode, the trainee attends the course you want to listen to the classes that students receive the assets.
Diploma shall be issued only to justify participation minimum attendance of 80 percent of the proposed schedule.
