Students of San Isidoro of Cartagena IES and IES San Isidoro de Sevilla, this morning visited the Palace Hall, where they were received by the Councillor for Youth, Ruth Collins, capping a twinning project between the two institutes of the Holy, which began forged in the 25th anniversary of the center of Cartagena, which is actively involved with the IDEAS program of the Youth Council.
The project involves 9 students and a teacher at IES San Isidoro de Sevilla and December 12 students and 2 teachers from IES San Isidoro of Cartagena.
After traveling to Sevilla last Sunday and visit the Andalusian capital, Cartagena students returned Wednesday afternoon, accompanied by their counterparts in Seville, which were hosted by families of students in our city.
Will be in Cartagena until Saturday 9 April.
Among the activities to be performed in Cartagena, are a guided tour of the historic old town, stroll around the marina on a catamaran, visit the Palace Hall, Museum and Roman Theatre and hiking route to the Battery Ash.
Mina also visit the Groups Vicenta, the Public Market House La Union and Pinion.
In the IES San Isidoro made a special kind of Cante de las Minas and the Closing Ceremony of the Project.
The two HEIs have participated in the Cluster of Schools in two academic years, awarded by the Ministry of Education, which is the twinning of two centers in different regions with a study or common goal.
In this case the issue is Cartagena, Port of cultures, Sevilla, India Gate and on this and related issues with each city to make it known to other group participating students have worked over two academic years, 2009-2010 and 2010-2011.
During this time, students have been lots of activities, from exhibitions of works and photographs, the study of natural areas in the two areas, the search for connections in the history of both cities, the comparison of the same language used in ways different, and so on.
All promoting the use of ICT and the initiation of research students.
Also be held working meetings between the teachers involved in the project from both centers and gatherings and exchanges with students who are working on it.
This project is endowed with 8,200 euros for each center to carry out all activities under it.
Was also achieved with the approach to each of the neighborhoods where the centers are located, and their cities.
It has therefore been referred to the implementation of various events in the district of Los Dolores, and in Cartagena and Seville.
The granting of this project is to strengthen and expand the work conducted from disclosing the IES San Isidoro (Los Dolores, Cartagena) to present to students the rich heritage and culture of our city and region as well as display and power compare this with other areas of our country.
