The Councillor for Tourism, Javier Herrero, President of the Centre for Tourism Initiatives in Cartagena, Tom Amato, and the director of CIT, Juan de Haro, presented today the convening of the fortieth edition Cartagenero of the Year Award for the year 2010 , with which it opens within one month for nominations for the award.

Any organization, institution or agency, and individuals may submit nominations to those who consider have excelled in the past year or throughout their lives for their love and work towards Cartagena, always subject to a number of rules governing the award.

So, you can not reward political asset or Administration officials, candidates are not allowed nor deceased members of the jury award itself.

After the period of one month, the jury, chaired by the Mayor and is composed of three members of CIT, three representatives of the media (press, radio and television), the Cartagenero of the Year last year, Councilman Tourism, the Councillor for Culture and the Official Chronicler of Cartagena, decided by a two thirds majority to whom the award is granted and will be Pilar Barreiro, responsible for communicating the telephone to the person on whom has fallen the award.
