Given the information released today about buying the building seven years ago, Pascual de Riquelme by the municipality, the municipal government clarified that the purchase was made according to prices in an eminent domain case in which the property was valued by local technicians as evidenced by documentation in the file.
Is false, therefore, that the price was set in a negotiation, contrary to the assertions of the statement which has led to information.
The payment also is not made in cash, but with the swap of some land from an assignment in an urban development that had the same value as technical reports also show in the file.
It so happens that the lands are exchanged, seven years later, not built.
The Government should not enter or enter the content or the reasons for the agreements between the original owners, or whether initial ownership interest will enter a lower value in cash rather than keep paying on undeveloped land offered by the City Council .
The fact is that the City did not pay a euro more than I would have paid for expropriation.
The City Council therefore succeeded to the Museo del Teatro Romano the property that was needed and the price established in the case of expropriation without starting a procedure that could have delayed the purchase and project.
That price was paid for undeveloped land.
The entire procedure is documented and supported by technical reports.
The Government urges that the questions about the fairness of this procedure will be clarified in court.
