Councillor for Culture and the director of the station in Cartagena today launched a new issue of The Banner, with a special issue on San Pedro, and the CD Music of Easter in Cartagena, with 15 gears created between 1901 and 2002
Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, and the director of the radio station COPE Cartagena, Francisco Minguez, accompanied by the secretary general of the group of San Pedro, José Blas Martinez, today unveiled a new edition of the magazine that publishes the that station, The Standard, which this year dedicated a monograph to the figure of Pedro Marina Cartagena (San Pedro), and a CD Music of Easter in Cartagena.
In regard to the magazine, pointing to rediscover Rosario Montero curious stories of our Easter, as in this case, the anecdotal and unique history of San Pedro, the name listed as Pedro Marina Cartagena Navy officer receives their salary and live in the Arsenal, where every year asking permission to go in processions.
Regarding the CD, contains 15 marches composed over a century, from 1901 to 2002, most of Cartagena and still sound accompanying the processions of Holy Week.
The oldest is that of the Agony, dating from 1901, and the most modern, the Magdalena and Domine Quo Vadis, which were composed in 2002.
Both the magazine and the CD have been published 2,000 copies will be distributed for free.
The official presentation will be Thursday, April 7 during the COPE program Cartagena station broadcast live from the Cultural Hall of the CAM, in the main street, starting at 19.00 hours, and which also give The Gold Standard of José Sánchez Macias, processions which honors this year.
