From April 1 will enjoy the new exhibition The Story of a discovery.
History of a project: the Roman Theatre of Cartagena, which has gone through Murcia, Madrid and Tarragona.
This exhibition was the first months of the opening of the Theatre Museum and now returns to his room for temporary exhibitions.
The exhibition takes visitors which meant the discovery of the Roman Theater in one of the most deprived districts of the city, and the story of his recovery.
A long, complex, but exciting ending with the inauguration of the Museo del Teatro Romano on July 11, 2008, whose project has been funded by the Roman Theatre of Cartagena.
The exhibition is organized into four thematic block collected through photos, text and graphic information varied, with an almost journalistic treatment, the recovery process of the monument, starting from the evolution of the archaeological work, in accordance with the parameters of the restoration the monument, and continuing with development of comprehensive project, designed by the brilliant architect Rafael Moneo.
The graphic panels are further enveloped in the exhibition showcases various working papers and research as well as the evolution of architectural design.
Also a selection of archaeological transport visitors to the regular work of documenting the items recovered during the excavation, from the documentation of context to its catalog, plotting and restoration.
The translation of the comprehensive project is also assisted with the presentation of the project execution model that allows us to visualize in three dimensions the complexity of the museum display from the lower altitudes of the city to the interior of the monument, and the adequacy of their environment .
