Brahms and Haydn, Symphony players with Murcia in the Nuevo Teatro Circo (23/03/2011)

An interesting connection establishes the program on Thursday March 24 in the cycle that the Murcia Symphony Orchestra offers in Nuevo Teatro Circo Cartagena, within the schedule that the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena organized in the theater.

It is to be interpreted parts of two composers who triumphed in Vienna nearly a century apart, Brahms and Haydn.

The concert, the third cycle of payment of the Symphony in Cartagena, will be at 20.30 hours.

Tickets cost between 12 and 8 euros.

Overture Brahms wrote the following tragic as Haydn sonata structure had defined.

The Hamburg style is evident in the fire of the orchestration.

In the Variations on a Theme by Haydn is an effective work to develop a theme of San Antonio Choral attributed to Haydn.

There are eight variations and a final passacaglia written precisely for the brilliance of the orchestra.

The timbre and melodic variety provide a rich set of composition at the service of a speech rich in nuances and sexy with music of great purity of expression.

The great Haydn symphony is evidenced in his extensive collection of symphonies.

The latter, under the title London Symphony, premiered in 1795 and closes a cycle of twelve symphonies he wrote on commission for the Salomon concerts in London offered.

The four-movement structure, thematic consistency, along with business developments and impeccable orchestration make this symphony a work model.

The program will display in Murcia Uruguayan director of the prestigious Roberto Montenegro.
