The event, now in its fourteenth edition, began its journey on Monday 21 March with the hearings of the 104 participants entered into the contest organized by the Youth Council and the Conservatory of Cartagena

The competition organized by the Youth Council and the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena reached its fourteenth edition with great success of participation, making it one of the most prestigious and renowned music competitions at the regional level.

One hundred four young men went beyond the limits of participation from the competition that exists in the arrangements for piano, strings, guitar, vocals, woodwinds, brass and percussion.

In this way the most important notes and consolidation that the competition has become among our young performers, which serves to increase the quality and competitiveness of the participants.

Concert Cycle Between Strings and Metals, will take place during the months of March, April and May, premiering on Monday March 21 this contest of classical music with the type of guitar.

As usual, the entrance to the concerts will be free to fill seats.

Youth participants must be pursuing professional studies in music of the instrument with which they compete, will perform two classical pieces of free choice of different styles, both being edited.

The Awards Ceremony and Closing Concert will be held on May 6 in the Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, a place where they will announce the verdict of the jury in each of the modalities.
