The concerts of classical music sound spaces, organized by the municipality of Cartagena, returns this year to be held in the framework of historic sites in the city with the news that this year will be extended to councils, as in this case La Palma.
Singers and instrumentalists from Germany, UK, Italy and Spain offered during the months of March, April, May and June five concerts of classical music, demonstrating that despite the crisis, the City is committed to a program of music quality cultured monthly and provided free of charge to all public conspicuous places in the municipality.
In programming we have tried to combine support for the promotion of local musicians and the Region of Murcia along with the presence in the cycle of renowned artists of international renown.
Thus, in April, on behalf of the artistic direction of the cycle, and as a prelude to Easter, will be a concert of sacred music by the Cartagena Chamber Orchestra and the choir Vox Musicalis of Totana, led by the Catalan director Tomeu Quetglas, who will perform a Requiem Mass of contemporary English composer John Rutter.
Among the international players are German soprano Ute Beckert, and the baroque orchestra Tempesta Dolce that left fond memories in the edition of the series 2009 and repeated in this edition with the famous Italian soprano Paolo Lopez with a program devoted to arias for opera of the eighteenth-century castrati.
Cycle ends in June with a free outdoor concert relaxed atmosphere of the British group "The Graffiti Classics", who will make a fun comic journey through the history of music through his best-known tunes.
