Mandarache Award continues its series of meetings with writers finalists and Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 March will receive the Galician writer based in Barcelona David Monteagudo, designer who was one of the biggest surprises of 2010 editorial: his novel Fin (Cliff , 2009), with more than 90,000 copies sold.
David Monteagudo present his novel in two events in Cartagena, beginning Monday, March 14 with a meeting with readers and book signing in the auditorium Cajamurcia Foundation in Cartagena.
The next day, Tuesday 15, Monteagudo will meet with 500 high school students who are part of the jury of nearly 2,000 young people awarded this prize democratic narrative.
Monteagudo is the second of the finalists for the award to visit Cartagena and competes for the same with the writers Susana Fortes, who in December visited the port city, and Bethlehem Gopegui, which is the last of the three to present his novel candidate for the award: Desire to be punk (Anagram, 2009), 23 and 24 March.
Following the visit of the three authors begin a discussion period that will culminate with a vote of the award through the web www.premiomandarache.es , which will be held from 4 to 8 April, by reading hundreds of committees enrolled in this edition, the sixth since the project began in 2004.
