The Information Committee of Finance and Interior, held this morning under the chairmanship of the council of the area, Jose Cabezas, has ruled favorably on the designation of an item in the budgets carried over from this year to address the opening and operation of the Auditorium and Palacio Municipal de Congresos, amounting to 627,000 euros.

The opinion has counted the votes in favor of the government team and the abstention of PSOE and Citizen Movement.

As explained by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, this is the amount required for the Auditorium and Convention Center will become a shock ecnómico, generating new business and congress tourism.

In this sense Montero recalled this year already reached 20 conferences, whose participants have begun to make reservations in hotels.

The works are now almost finished and handed to the City Council in early April.

The idea is that the first event can be made ​​as early as June, auqnue yet to be put out to tender the management of the Auditorium, which will be forthcoming through public competition.

Just another issue that the committee gave a favorable opinion was the final approval of the economic activities in the Auditorium and Congress Palace in free competition, which voted against the PSOE and Citizen Movement.
