Essentia Nostra sample recovered at the Palace Molina the origins of the Illustrious Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament and Christ Real Relief, an institution dating back to the late seventeenth century under the protection of the Duke of Veragua and Captain General of the Royal Galleys of Spain.
Its revival in 1961 marks the starting point for an institution which celebrates therefore refoundational its 50 th Anniversary.
The show is a tour documentary that covers the 320 year history of Socorro, including the famous Constitutions printed in 1691, ancient tapestries one day dressed in the Chapel of the Cathedral, to an entire list of publications and files on the Brotherhood.
The opening of the exhibition will Essentia Nostra Thursday 10 March at 20.00 hours at the Palace in the street Molina Jara. It will remain open until 24th abri l, Easter Sunday, from Tuesday to Saturday 10.30 to 13.30 hours and from 17.00 to 20.30.
In addition, the commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the re-founding and Royal Confraternity of the Holy Christ Relief include a series of lectures on 16, 17 and 18 March in the auditorium of the Museum of the Roman Theatre and the Lenten Triduum Cristo del Socorro Honor on 29, 30 and 31 March in the Parish of Santo Domingo military.
