Teach future drivers and pedestrians present the basic rules of road safety education is the goal of the Caravan

The Caravan Road Safety Education is aimed at schoolchildren between 9 and 12, with the main objective to promote responsible attitudes and civic organizations to help reduce road accidents.
It is expected that about 1,000 children attend these days to learn the main signs and traffic regulations, in groups of 30 children every hour.
Mapfre director in Cartagena, Maria José Garrido, explained that the caravan is open to the public in general, but mainly have been agreed activities with different schools in the municipality and with associations such as Down syndrome children will participate this afternoon in the circuit.
According to the Institute of Road Safety Mapfre in 2009 about 60 children were killed in a traffic accident.
To avoid this, Garrido has insisted that children should not be victims of accidents and safety but actors must convey to the whole family to acquire knowledge, starting with the simplest remind mom and dad to be put on the belt.
The Councillor for Citizen Security, Javier Herrero, Cartagena further recalled that about 5,000 minors are engaged in a lifelong learning at the Education Park Road which is on the street to Angel Bruna throughout the year.
La Caravana Mapfre includes a karting track and several classrooms where instructors specialized training in road safety education to children explain the rules and basic concepts of movement.
Cartagena joins to other cities in Spain that the Foundation Mapfre travel along this year teaching road safety to more than 20,000 students in Spain.
This Caravan traveling and was present last year in other cities of the region as Lorca and Murcia.
With this initiative, many students learn responsible attitudes in a playful and fun, both inside and outside the classroom.
But, as explained by Maria José Garrido, the Institute of Road Safety Awareness campaigns for adult drivers in order to avoid bad driving habits and reduce accident rates.
