The City of Cartagena Folk group has organized a program of activities for weekends in March, which opens on Saturday and in which, in addition to good music, you can taste the traditional cuisine of the land

Coinciding with the festivities of Santa Florentina, La Palma, the city of Cartagena Folkloric Group, in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, has returned to prepare a hearty program of activities for the Café Cantante, which filled with good music and contemporary dishes typical of our traditional cuisine weekend of March, between 5 and 27.

Councillor of Celebration, Florentina Garcia Vargas, and the president of the folk group, Pedro Antonio Gomez, were responsible for raising awareness of the program for this event, one of whose highlights will be the actions of martyrdom, on Friday 25 March starting at 22.30 hours.

The opening of the Café Cantante will be held Saturday March 5, with performances by the orchestra.

Other groups will go through their new music by the House of Folklore will juice Gnomes, with Celtic music, rock and roll of The X Band; Filiu y Cia bring flamenco pop, and the most original, letting go ¹, pop music played simultaneously in sign language.

Sundays are reserved for the lusts cuisine, with dishes that are only made in these days, arriving on Saturday March 26 at the close of the Café Cantante, an act which will present the poster of the XIX National Festival of Folklore of the Shire Cartagena, which, again, is the work of local artist Pérez Casanova.

The festival will take place during the second week of July.

Finally, on Sunday 27 March there will be traditional Folk Show at the Civic Center with the participation of groups of La Palma and the folk group L'corner weir, New Boar.

This is an opportunity to enjoy good music and good food, so no one should stop going through the House of Folklore of La Palma, noted Florentina Garcia Vargas, an invitation which has added Pedro Antonio Gomez, who recalled the work we do from the villages to maintain the identity of our land.
