The Department of Women and People's University offers a comprehensive program of activities on or around March 8 that also includes guided tours of the Arqua and a photo contest with the theme Immigrant women
On the occasion of the celebration of United Nations Day for Women's Rights and International Peace on 8 March, the Department of Women of the City of Cartagena and the People's University and a comprehensive program of activities for both associations of women in the municipality and the general public.
The program is a collaboration of various councils, with the participation of the People's University, the Department of Women and the Municipal Archaeological Museum Enrique Escudero de Castro.
The central activity to commemorate the holiday of International Women's Day is March 8, Tuesday, at 12.00 hours reading the manifesto to be in the courtyard of the administrative building of San Miguel.
The main activities organized by the Department of Women include courses such as Laughter Therapy, March 1 to April 14, and Management Course of Women's Associations to be held on 2 and 3 March, which have come 40 associations in the municipality of Cartagena and the Union, addressed to the boards of women's associations, where they can learn, among others, issues related to internal documents of an association or development projects.
The program also includes the Storyteller for Equality, El Teatro del Carmen, to be held in different libraries in the municipal system.
In addition, the council of Women also organized a literary meeting in honor of the writer Josefina Garcia and several guided tours of the Museum of Underwater Archaeology (ARQUA).
Among the activities held in the Municipal Archaeological Museum highlights Women in flamenco, the performance of singer Ana Monchón Granada, with free admission.
In the Nuevo Teatro Circo represent the Sublime play performed by the group decision Tanit on 30 March.
The Fourteenth Meeting of bobbin lace are held on Sunday, March 6 at the Sports Pavilion de La Palma.
The People's University has also scheduled a series of literary events and activities that seek to promote women artistic aspects of photography as a contest with the theme of immigrant women, and instruct them on new technologies such as digital photography course or course of Computer Learning about social networks.
