The jury of the fourteenth Writing Contest and Drawing School Carnival 2011, chaired by the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, and integrated by the councilor of Celebration, Florentina Garcia Vargas, President of the Federation of Carnival, Carmen Sanchez, and Chairman FAPA, Emilio Bernal, have been responsible for today delivered the prizes to the finalists selected from the entries.

According to Florentina Garcia Vargas, has been difficult to choose, because the compositions were all very funny and silly, and showed a great interest from the kids to the history of Carnival, and as for the drawings, outline future geniuses of art.

Each of the finalists in the two forms of competition received a commemorative trophy and also the Central School won the First Prize in each option has been presented with a plaque donated by the FAPA and a lot of books for your library donated by the Department of Education.
This competition is an initiative of the Federation of Carnival, with the collaboration of the Department of Education and Celebrations of the City of Cartagena and the Federation of Associations of Parents of Cartagena.
Since November 2010, sent information to schools inviting them to participate, until February 11, 2011 as the deadline for receipt of work, school 5th and 6th grade Primary have developed their writing and drawings on the basis of representing the carnival as a personal vision.
The schools that have attended this event have been the Colegio La Encarnacion, CEIP CEIP La Conception and Sacred Heart (Dolores).
