The Cartagena Guilds Board has chosen the Franciscan Cardinal Carlos Amigo Vallejo as a preacher of the Easter 2011, while honored with the title of Nazarene High to María Luisa Ferrando Albaladejo.
The decision has been communicated in the early hours of the night to the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, in the traditional visit to the brothers made a few days before Ash Wednesday for the occasion.
The mayor has been responsible for telephone contact with the players who have very gladly accepted the appointment.
Carlos Amigo Vallejo, archbishop of Seville, will deliver the opening speech on 15 April, Good Friday at the Teatro Circo Cartagena.
It will not be the first member of the church hierarchy to take him out, because before the shows have prolonged the Bishops of Cartagena, Javier Azagra, Manuel Urena and Juan Antonio Reig Pla.
