Local Government Board, which met this morning under the chairmanship of Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, approved the instructions in the email to the staff of the City of Cartagena.
The proposal has been prepared by the Department of Personnel following the technical recommendations of the Data Processing Center and in order that this resource is used appropriately municipal purposes and actions that have to do with the job and activity.
The extension of e-mail to most of city officials and the increased traffic of messages and attachments at certain times have caused conflict in the municipal communications networks, which have been advised to establish criteria for this public good is used sparingly, when necessary and never for private purposes, or other municipal activity.
Rules adopted this morning also limits the use of electronic mass-mailing to a maximum of 15 recipients by email, noting that for these purposes you can use other resources such as local intranet.
Unions deserve separate issue, which, although they may make such submissions to more recipients, will be exclusively limited to transmitting information and labor union in the exercise of freedom of association.
Finally, and inter alia prohibits the sending and receiving attachments to the activity outside the City and its incorporation into the municipal network.
