The Youth Space has released the Report of Activities 2010, a year marked by concern for social and professional climate that has had to deal with youth.
A total of 47,492 youth in the municipality requested different information about this service during 2010.
Of these, 7,002 young people came in person, of which 4,626 were new applicants.
The number of appointments had not attended (by phone or mail) amounts to 2,874, and through the web have visited a total of 26,837 Internet users.
Spaces that are most consulted our youth have been: Housing 40.8%, followed by the Employment Area, with 26.5% and mobility with a 13.8% of all queries.
Last year, and reflecting the increasing rate of unemployment among the young population are shown with more crudely, the Employment Area has seen an increase in demand in more than four points compared to 2009.
By late 2010, 13% of young people under 25 years of Cartagena was unemployed, a situation that affected Spain 40%.
Most are university students who fail to integrate into the workplace, and youth who left school early and are now being brought back to the compulsory training.

Since the Youth Space began life in November 2006 were younger than 25 882 who fled in person at their facilities, representing 38% of the total youth population in the municipality of Cartagena.
At present, the development of Internet has made this service more accessible for young people.
In 2010, the consultation meetings are held with the previous year, but reflected a substantial increase in visits for digital media, a 65.86% more young people access the service through the web.
This shows that young people increasingly use new technologies often seeking information or resolution of claims.
The low complexity is resolved through email and telephone, but face more complex care required is still the most popular.
Add to that the growing use of social networks.
Taking this circumstance the Youth Space diffuses through the wall of the Facebook network all kinds of information, announcements, news, links or events, not only themselves but others, on issues that may particularly interest them.
By late 2010 the Youth Space had with 2,100 friends on this social network, 78% more than in 2009.
QUALITY SURVEY
Activities Report revision is the process that are annually submitted to the Youth Space, which is essential to analyze and evaluate the results of actions taken.
Young Space works in a standardized quality standard that enables continuous improvement of comprehensive care activities for young people, which is the basis of the implementation of ISO 9000 Quality System to the Youth Space has been certified since June 2008, one of the first accredited services of the City of Cartagena.
To measure user satisfaction, the Youth Space also provides a mechanism for improvement through anonymous surveys, which complete the users who access Youth Space specialized advice on the first Tuesday and Thursday of each month.
During the year 2010 have been collected a total of 1056 surveys, 48% more than in 2009.
The degree of satisfaction of the users with the service received was rated high at 94.5% of the care.
