Local police have reported a total of 6 vehicles during the last special road safety campaign, conducted nationally in collaboration with the Directorate General of Traffic control and surveillance of trucks and vans, with the aim of improving safety them.
During the campaign, which has developed between 14 and 20 February in the whole municipality, we have examined a total of 300 vehicles, almost all nationals, except 9 which were foreign vehicles.
As for the accused, one was for failure to use seat belts and the other five issues related to documentation of the vehicles.
Agents these days have been devoted mainly to monitor and control the use of seat belts, the tachograph or safety of the cargo, besides the obvious controls documentation.
In addition, other elements have been revised more directly related to road safety lighting, tires and speed control and drugs.
