Councillor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, Rosario Montero, this morning the new website will facilitate the understanding of Cartagena as a congress city.
The site is perfectly adapted to the professional needs of both the office and of partners and is offered in Spanish and English.
Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, explained that the design is efficient, dynamic, practical and very clear, few features that also differentiates congress tourism.
Rosario Montero has said that with this new access will be achieved Cartagena promotional work as professional destination, and is a gateway to business consulting, offering a contact section.
The web offers businesses what they need to plan your trip, your needs are essentially three: First, images of the city and the environment to promote the destination, next to pictures of the infrastructure that can be downloaded to work on them when organizing the event.
Secondly, contact with partner companies, from meeting rooms to hotels, restaurants and resorts, and thirdly the main attractions of the city to offer recreational activities and free time to complete the trip.
The new portal has been designed and implemented by the Data Protection Center of the City of Cartagena and is organized by category, the site includes details of both the services offered by the Office of Congresses, and city and business partners thereof.
In total, 50 companies, including hotels, restaurants and other services are part of the tab for employees of the Bureau.
All hotels in the city are partners, which includes giving a total of 2,000 hotel rooms within the city, and more than 5,000 people in the municipalities, as explained by the Councillor Rosario Montero.
The site has a members only section in which all employees of the office can manage their data and decide what information they want to offer.
It also has a section that will be announced all conferences, meetings and events taking place in the city.
Conference calendar 2011, for the moment, are closed until September, includes 15 events, and others are in process to take place this year and next, as explained by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero.

OPENING OF THE NEW AUDITORIUM IN JUNE
Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, referred to the opening of the new Auditorium and Convention Center, whose building is now complete, but the opening must be implemented after being awarded the work and accept the terms of reference.
Montero has announced that the auditorium will be ready by June, when an event could be held.
