The project Chest Volunteer Experience Municipal Institute of Social Services closed the first Wednesday Painting Course for seniors in a ceremony held in the classroom building and the Miraculous attended Councilman Care Social, Antonio Calderon.
The course started in the month of October last year, a training which has been attended by a total of 30 seniors.
Experience The Vault is a volunteer project where a professor teaches the class for, this time painting, older students enrolled in the course, working content of drawing and painting techniques in the methods of acrylic, watercolor and charcoal .
Among the objectives pursued with the Senior Program of the City of Cartagena through various actions, highlights the encourage the active participation of older people, by offering courses that spend their free time creatively and orderly development their personal capacities, promote social and cultural exchange and to prevent social isolation and loneliness.
In addition, it also aims to improve their quality of life, creating opportunities for participation and socio-cultural activities appropriate to their demands and needs and encouraging an active, physical, mental and social seniors.
