Cartagena Local Police have seized about 28 kilos of hashish from two individuals of Lithuanian national, who have been arrested on suspicion of a crime against public health.
The intervention was made on Friday about 18:30 pm at Rosario Street, located in the old city.
The investigation began when a 092 call alerted to the presence of a vehicle with two occupants inside that seemed to be arguing.
Moments later, an agent who was on duty in the area, found a vehicle parked in that street with two occupants inside who answered to the description provided in the call.
The agent immediately alerted the other units, bringing the two occupants of the vehicle and proceeded to strip search and identification.
At the time of requisitioning the vehicle, police found in the back seat and boot, a total of 48 bags whose contents were, allegedly, of hashish, about 1,500 euro banknotes, 4260 rubles, plus a camera and a digital portfolio.
Those arrested, 46 and 39 years of age, were immediately brought to justice.
