Cartagena Port of Cultures, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary from February to November with a full program of activities, both tourist and cultural events dedicated to initiate the Punic world with lectures Novels, cycle starts with the writer Jesus Maeso de la Torre and The Lords of the Sea on Friday 18 February at 19.00 hours in the Punic Wall.
Maeso de la Torre is also a writer, lecturer and writer of Asbed Spanish (Jaén).
Known primarily for his historical novels, some translated into several languages and considered by critics as one of the creators of this genre.
The author will provide a different view of the history of the Phoenicians who came from North Africa across the sea from Cadiz to Cartagena, through the characters, real or fictional that have served to create novels and Tartars.
Chat Cycle novels, which will begin in the Punic Wall, will be held in other spaces dedicated to the Roman, medieval, and contemporary defense in collaboration with the Association of Historical Fiction.
