The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and the Government Delegate, Rafael González Tovar, this morning visited the Archaeological Park of the future works on the hill of windlass.

The project, part of the so-called Plan E of the Government of Spain, aims to recover the archaeological heritage of the area and, in turn, create a large garden, like a green gazebo in the center of the city.

The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, said that recovery work is the most important archaeological heritage in the history of Cartagena, and with an area of 25,000 square meters, will be the largest open-air archaeological park is in Spain.

The project budget is 4 million euros to be included in state funds under the management of the City of Cartagena, and it is expected that during the development of the work generated a total of 66 direct jobs.
