Increasing the R + D + i giving researchers first hand information on their areas of expertise and European competitions to fund projects.
That is one of the priorities of the European Regions Research and Innovation (ERRIN) that was presented this morning at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).
The seminar, organized by the European Project Office UPCT, brought together researchers and groups I + D + i, who have known what are the advantages and benefits of belonging to this network
The head of the Department for the Promotion of European Research Universities and Directorate General of Scientific Policy, Manuel Tárraga, the researchers explained how this network operates through working groups in various fields like Information Technology , Health, Energy and Transport.
These groups facilitate the exchange of knowledge and regularly hold meetings where they contact researchers from different regions.
In this way, you can create pools that have more chances of success in European competitions in which awards funding to develop research lines.
Manuel Tárraga has encouraged researchers UPCT to participate in this network by sending a business card that details on what their research priorities.
Each group can choose which area in which you want to be informed and, thereafter, receive a weekly newsletter containing comprehensive information on this industry calls for European competitions and events.
During the day also presented a case study of a company created by researchers Murcia CEBAS-CSIC, and thanks to their participation in the network has achieved ERRIN start the development of plant products with higher nutritional value, according Micaela said Carvajal, a researcher at Aquaporins & Ingredients Ltd.
