The Director General of Planning and Housing, Antonio Navarro, said today that the Ministry of Public Works and Planning continues with performances by improving accessibility of buildings in Cartagena, through the Regional Housing Plan 2009-2012.
"The Regional Housing Plan provides for different types of assistance for improving the structural safety, energy efficiency and, in general, liveability and accessibility, both in houses and buildings," said the director general.
During his visit to one of the buildings put up in the center of Cartagena, the responsible authority, which was accompanied by the Town Planning, Segado Joaquin said that "the main purpose of the grants is to improve the quality of life of Murcia, ensuring that their homes meet all your needs. "
In particular, the building subject of this action is located at number 32 on the street Soap, which has carried out the installation of an elevator and adaptation of entry to facilitate safe mobility to the residents of the building.
The Community has financed a total alignment of 12,341 euros, between the subsidy granted to the residents and individual grants to the owners.
Those interested in applying this type of assistance can be funded individually, which can reach 45 percent of the total budget of the work in the case of children under 35 with disabilities, with a limit of 5,200 euros.
Grants to communities of owners can reach 25 percent of the budget protected with up to 2,200 euros per household.
