In its efforts to control illegal street trading in the municipality, the local police in Cartagena has undergone a dozen seizures during last January, both in public and in the various weekly markets, which have resulted in large numbers of items seized, including 337 CDs, 357 DVDs, 17 tracksuits, 5 pairs of running shoes, as well as toys and 25-pin dress, all her good imitation of great designers with a high price in the legal market.
Additionally, this same operation were also seized perishable goods sold in the street.
With these actions carried out routinely and spontaneously, Local Police complies with the provisions of Municipal Ordinance which regulates the exercise of that practice outside of permanent shops, deterring and preventing illegal activities.
