Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, this morning visited the works of the development of housing for young people who, since last October, is being built on the Mill House Buenos Aires Marfagones.
Pilar Barreiro has been accompanied by the Town Planning and chairman of SL Young Cartagena, Joaquin Segado, and vice president of commercial and president of the Association of Employers of the Construction of Cartagena, Miguel Martinez, who were able to check the status of works carried out by the commercial Cartagena SL Young., involving the City and several construction companies.
The first block, with a total of 96 homes, is already in advanced composite construction and may be delivered to owners by early next year 2012, as announced by the mayor, while the second block is in foundation.
Pilar Barreiro has also highlighted that 80% of homes already sold out, a turnover of more than acceptable, given the situation of youth unemployment that exists in Spain.
The total of the first phase, for which Young Cartagena has plans to build 300 homes, will be completed in two years, and the rest will be constructed on demand.
The complex will have two main avenues, gardens, and a sports area which will bring competition very soon, as announced by the mayor.
Pilar Barreiro has stressed that this is one of the most important projects being implemented in the region because it involves the construction of housing for young people at an affordable price.
The two bedroom homes have been sold at a price of 70,000 euros, and the rest range from 90,000 to 120,000 euros.

Responding to questions from reporters, Pilar Barreiro has referred to the controversy between the Regional Confederation of Organizations of Murcia (CROEM) and the Confederation of Organizations of Cartagena (COEC), the employer's decision to disengage from Cartagena the CROEM.
The mayor said she is sure and convinced that dialogue is intended by both parties and that we will reach an agreement and praised the intelligence of the leaders of both organizations to make this happen and there is an understanding between the parties carry out such a situation that benefits nobody.
For the Mayor it is also an opportunity to modify structures that needed to be changed, and this has highlighted the importance of unity of entrepreneurs, because the union stronger, especially in times of crisis, to enterprise organizations.
Miguel Martinez, president of the Association of Employers of the Construction of Cartagena and member of the executive COEC has coincided with the mayor to advocate the business unit and emphasized that even in these times of crisis the most important thing is to add not subtract .
Martinez has said that since the COEC is to build bridges to understanding, and to h ave more commonalities that unite us than divide us.
The president of the construction companies in Cartagena has called responsibility and has encouraged the leaders to continue the dialogue, so that everyone wins and defend the interests of entrepreneurs in Cartagena.
