About twenty NATO ships have chosen Cartagena stopover while performing maneuvers in waters near the coast.
This is the strongest landing ships of the Atlantic Alliance in our city that will occur between Friday 25 and Monday 28 February.
The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, has been satisfied and grateful to NATO for choosing the port of Cartagena, an important site in the Mediterranean, to the landing.
Cartagena will bring the fleet to about 5,000 seafarers from countries like USA, Germany, Italy, England or France, that those days will fill the bars, terraces and shops in the city.
Barreiro s upondrá stressed that a great benefit to the economy, particularly for restaurateurs and retailers and to criticism from environmental groups, has recalled that on marine s right people, educated and very careful with the cities they visit, and never never been any incident in previous landings that have come to receive up to 4,000 people.
The boats moored at the Cruise terminal and the tailings basin and highlights the arrival of ships like the aircraft carrier Principe de Asturias and the amphibious assault ship Castilla.
