Staff from the Fire Department of the City of Cartagena has stifled this afternoon a fire in the kitchen of a house in the street of Guimbarda Ussery, corner of Jiménez de la Espada.
The fire broke out about 13.15 hours on the hood of a fourth floor.
When firefighters arrived they found in the home to two National Police officers who tried to smother the flames with an extinguisher.
After taking over the situation, firefighters used two fire extinguishers, finishing off the coals with a water installation.
Afterwards, the ventilation of the house by a team of aeration.
About 14 hours, firefighters were returning to base, while one of the national police was treated for a mild poisoning from smoke inhalation.
