Councillor for Education of the City of Cartagena, Joseph Marotta, was responsible for opening acts of the second anniversary of Day Care Center Senior Escámez Alfonso del Algar.
The program of events run by the Messengers of Peace Association has been launched with a concert by the Rondalla and Chorus Home for the Elderly of the Union.
Among the commemorative events is also a recital by students of the Institute of Algar, Ballroom Dancing display, exhibition for two weeks with pictures of Toni Nieto, pens and watercolors by Mark Martinez and a sample of Mandali drawn by the largest in the center conducting an open house all day.
Day Care Center Escámez Alfonso Senior, was opened by the City Council in order to provide daytime care and comprehensive care for older people who need it, while maintaining the functional abilities of the individual, family support and creating an alternative space residential accommodation.
The facilities are of a social health center and family support offered during the day care for basic personal needs, therapeutic and socio-cultural older people affected by different degrees of dependence, promoting their independence and remain in their usual environment.
