The Secondary School Juan Sebastián Elcano was this morning as part of an activity within the project ARCE Traveling Reading, aimed at encouraging reading, performed by the writer Maria Duenas, who was accompanied by the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto and Youth, Ruth Collado.
This project, coordinated by Ana Bragulat, created with the aim of promoting reading promotion through school libraries and at the same time, to express our culture, traditions, folklore, etc.

To begin this event, which parents and students have come from 3 of the ESO's Institute, and professors and heads of other schools, María Dueñas, author of the famous novel The time between seams, gave a presentation on the process creator and writer readers, providing a brief introduction to a conference that, once completed, has given way to the official opening of the school library, which today bears the name of the writer based in Cartagena.

The Ministry of Education awarded the IES Juan Sebastian Elcano Arce project (Project group of schools), which takes two years running.
