The Culture Committee of the PP held on Wednesday, 19 November, a meeting with the Board of Directors Federation of Parents' Associations (FAPA), in order to hear the concerns that affect parents of students who study in our town Cartagena.
At the headquarters of FAPA, Councilwoman Maria del Rosario Maroto Josefa Montero and chaired the meeting, accompanied by members of the PP, where they discussed various issues related to transport, the bag of books, educational activities and infrastructures that have students.
Maria del Rosario Montero insisted the party's commitment to keep the great works of the Pact of Education, as the construction of the second phase of the college of La Rambla, the expansion in the school Santa Florentina de La Palma, Vicente Ros Mediterranean, La Manga, as well as, small maintenance works taking place in different schools.
Maroto Councilwoman noted that "during the last term of the PP, a local primary school has made a great progress with the implementation of various improvement and expansion works, which have made a significant financial investment."
In addition, FAPA representatives showed their complete willingness to cooperate with all activities and programs that enhance the academic preparation of students in the municipality.
As the crisis in the country, Montero said the need to coordinate efforts between local government, schools and families "so that all have access to educational resources."
