The Social Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has granted Orzáez Ramón Ruiz, Industrial Engineering, In Memoriam Award Ginés Martínez Huertas.

The first annual award, sponsored by Huertas Automotive Group SA, is aimed at graduates who have defended their UPCT final project during 2010.

Ramon Ruiz has made the final project on "Development of a method for determining the concentration of particles in exhaust gases from diesel engines as opacity. The work has been directed by Professor José Hernández Grau at the Department of Thermal Engineering and Fluids, "Area of Heat Engines" of UPCT.

The award, worth 1,200 euros, will take place on day 28, the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas.
