After the campaign to collect food this image suffer more people than you imagine conducted from November 15 to January 8, 2011, the Youth Council of Cartagena has collected a total of 4,300 kilos of nonperishable food .
Caritas Cartagena (soup kitchen), Santa Florentina Parish and San Juan Bautista, have been the entities receiving the recalled food.
The Youth Council of Cartagena thanked all secondary schools in the municipality supported the campaign, the media have been spreading the same, to youth groups for their involvement and, last but not least importantly, citizens who have contributed their solidarity to the needy.
After the draw held on January 13 among all classes of IES participants who made the greatest contributions of food, on Wednesday, Manuel Soler, president of Youth Council along with Joaquin Ferrando, pastor of San Diego, reported at winning two classes of secondary schools in St. Lucia and Polytechnic, who have won the award for their solidarity, consisting of a trip to the ice rink in Elche on 26 March and in collaboration with the T-The Alternative Free Time .
They have also grateful to all secondary schools, both students and teachers involved for their great work done.
