A possible solution to the continuing problems of traffic-related agglomeration of motor vehicles in areas accessible to the city of Cartagena, lie in the projection of a number of areas of park and ride shuttles to serve as public transport and liaison taxis and bicycle tracks, aimed at reducing congestion in the area of access to downtown.
The first would be located in the area of Mandarache through appropriate use of infrastructure already present in the area and its possible extension.
The other alternative parking areas would be located in the area of potash in the East and West Los Patojos.
UPyD advocates a non-polluting public transport, promoting the use of bicycles as a mode of urban transport and pedestrian priority in the design of public space.
