The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marín, today chaired the Governing Board of the National University of Distance Education (UNED) in Cartagena, which reviewed the activities of this institution of higher education.

For the current academic year 2010-2011, the enrollment has increased by 33 percent, from 4,489 in 2010 to 6,007 this year.

In addition, the Ministry of Universities and Research Company has allocated the UNED Associated Center of Cartagena and their land areas in the Region, a 433,847 euro budget for 2011.
