The mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, and the Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballest to have chaired this morning the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of a group of 7 Public Housing Promotion (PPV) to be to build on the council of La Palma.

The works of this group of houses, whose execution time is one year, are located on a plot of 1,132 square meters, donated by the city of Cartagena to the Autonomous Community, in particular between Sumac and Peach streets of La Palma.

The performance has funding of 431,995 euros from the regional government.

The mayor explained that housing is rented to facilitate the full social integration of persons with disabilities, and that the purpose is to solve economic problems of many families with few resources.

The Minister of Minister of Public Works, José Ballesta, thanked the generosity of the City of Cartagena and the proportions plots have more than enough to guarantee the right of many families to a decent home.

The management of these works are carried out by the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region of Murcia, who now works at a total of 44 PPV in Murcia, Caravaca de la Cruz, Moratalla, Calasparra and Mazarrón, and referred the construction of 19 new homes in Archena and Mazarrón.

CHARACTERISTICS OF HOUSING

The houses, bungalows, have 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, garage and communication with the roof.

All homes are built in as standard to facilitate energy saving and sustainable development through, for example, cross-ventilation system (staying open both the front and rear).
