The Mountain of illusions that has been creating these days in San Miguel has reached its highest point, yesterday afternoon in the courtyard of the Administration Building San Miguel. The councilman of Social Services, Antonio Calderón, closed the campaign to collect toys accompanied by representatives from other councils who have collaborated in the initiative, as the Councillor for Youth, Ruth Collins, of Celebration, Florentina Garcia Vargas, and the president of Youth Council, Manolo Soler.
Finally, the mountain has exceeded two thousand toys, constituting a success of solidarity and participation of families, municipal employees, companies and institutions from Cartagena, as Carrefour, TELECARTAGENA, Eroski, El Corte Ingles Practise, among others.
CAST OF TOYS
Today, Thursday, December 30, volunteers have been organizing the campaign, prepare the bags of toys to be carried to each association and are classified by age of the children they target.
Finally, on January 3, 2011, the associations requested toys will come to the courtyard of Building San Miguel to take the bags to their respective headquarters.
From there the pages of Their Majesties the Kings will be responsible for distribution to target families on days 3, 4 and 5 January. So on the morning of Kings may be filled with happiness to all children alike.
Since the initial figure of 1,500 toys were far exceeded, in the end there to hand out two toys per child.
