The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, confirmed this morning that it was an open secret.
Cartagena is one of the scenes of the new popular film director Bilbao, Ã lex of the Church.
The film will begin shooting early next year and as the mayor has said, neither the director nor the actors will go unnoticed.
Barreiro did not disclose the intricacies of the script or the exact locations where they will be shot, but has advanced to the leading actors will be foreigners and celebrities.
As the mayor pointed out, Ã lex of the Church is a director who crosses borders, and this choice of Cartagena allow the city to be present in all cinemas not only in Spain but throughout the world.
