The enthusiasm and willingness to learn has been the main ingredients of this Workshop Assistants in the care of dependent people in Social Institutions, organized by the Agency of Local Development and Employment of Cartagena (ALDE).
At the closing ceremony in the Hall of the Artillery Park, attended by the Councillor for Employment of the City of Cartagena, Ruth Collins, the director general of the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF), Ginés Martínez and the director of the Local Development Agency and Employment, Francisco García-Valenzuela A.
From the Department and the SEF have emphasized that these workshops are open access to a valuable field of work for these women than a year ago were out of work, and now they can break the barrier to unemployment in their curriculum offering a full qualification and work experience.
The students have been trained and worked at the same time, making practices Occupational Center Quarry, belonging to the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), piper school with a duration of 1,920 hours.
In the course, which started last December 2009, the students have received special training in geriatric care for dependents, but also have trained in other subjects such as gender equality, environmental awareness, job search and creation business.
They have also learned from how to cope with a job interview to how to use e-mail or look for work online, thanks to the computer module.
The 32 women shared a bittersweet morning.
The closing of the workshop is the final stage of separation from friends who have stuck this year, but also the beginning of a new, which will be put into practice everything learned to say goodbye to unemployment.
