Closure of the workshop Care Unit of the ADLE (16/12/2010)

The Shop Assistants in the care of dependent people in Social Institutions, organized by the Agency of Local Development and Employment, closing on Friday 17 December with the presentation of diplomas to the 32 student workers who participated in it, in a event to be held at 9.30 pm in the Lecture Hall of the Artillery Park.

The event is expected to attend the Councillor for Employment of the City of Cartagena, Ruth Collins, the director general of the Regional Employment Service and Training, Ginés Martínez and the director of the Agency of Local Development and Employment, Francisco García-Valenzuela.

Employment Workshop Care Unit, sponsored by the Agency of Local Development and Employment of Cartagena, was initiated in December 2009 with a duration of one year, funded by the Agency of Local Development and Employment Cartagena The Regional Employment Service and Training of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and the European Union through the European Social Fund.

This program is included among the measures to support employment creation and is configured as a mixed employment and training targeting unemployed twenty-five or more years.

Participating workers acquire vocational and job training by performing work or services of public utility or social interest related to new employment sites, allowing their subsequent job placement both paid employment through the creation of business projects or social economy.

Employment in this workshop have been involved 32 women who are unemployed for a year, have trained and worked at the same time, doing his internship in Quarrying Occupational Center, part of the IMAS, piper school with a duration of 1,920 hours.

This was made possible by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Agency of Local Development and Employment of Cartagena (ALDE) and the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, through the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS).

In addition to specific training in geriatric care for dependents, the students are trained in subjects such as gender equality, information technology, environmental awareness, job seeking and entrepreneurship.
