The fleet includes eight new patrol cars to better serve citizens and, moreover, no longer requires station since all agents have personal digital equipment to keep them in constant contact with the central 092
The Councillor for Citizen Security, Javier Herrero, together with the Director General of Security, Carlos Nieto, and inspector of the local police chief, Manuel Asensio, presented this morning at the Town Hall Square, next to Heroes of Cavite, eight new vehicles entering the fleet of the Police and that, from today, begin to serve the public.
The most novel feature is that the new patrol cars, the Renault Megane with a displacement of 1,600 cubic centimeters, are equipped with GPS, plus radio station that no longer installed since a few months ago, as Smith noted, all agents have their own digital equipment that keeps them in constant contact with the headquarters of 092, which need not also carry vehicles.
Smith has emphasized that the choice of vehicles was made by a commission which involved the agents to be used later and, therefore, know the characteristics to have to provide a better service.
With these additions, is raised to 55 the total number of local police vehicles at the disposal of City Hall.
Of the eight new police cars, five operating in the brigade of public safety during the day, two night's brigade and one is reserved for leadership.
The cost amounts to 192,000 euros.
