The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, today visited the refurbishment and improvement of Doctor Luis Calandre street and its surroundings, with an investment of over four million euros.
The works have resulted in the improvement of the margin Benipila boardwalk, new paving, lighting and landscaping, and improvements in the wastewater network.
It has also built a walk-viewpoint and has enabled a bike lane along the promenade outside, with different green areas and close to who have relocated hundreds of existing palm trees in the area.
The investment made in the action amounted to 4,027,381 euros, of which EUR 2,027,197 has been provided by the Autonomous Region via the Special Plan Basic Municipal Infrastructure.
Opening to traffic
This action is recovering from a comprehensive urban environment Luis Street Grille, which opened to traffic today, and favors the expansion joint in the neighborhood of Cartagena de la Concepción.
It also has improved lighting, installation of 133 new points of light for roads, intersections and walkways, and has placed prairie grass and different groups of plants and flowers.
