The writer Susana Fortes, are his work Waiting for Robert Capa, opens the series of meetings Mandarache Award.
Tomorrow, Tuesday 14 December at 20.00 hours the author will meet fans at the Cultural Hall Cajamurcia Foundation in Cartagena.
Fortes is the first finalist candidates for the 2011 Mandarache visiting the city to talk to hundreds of readers of his novel Waiting for Robert Capa and his love of books as part of the sixth edition of the project.
The author will sign copies of his novel in this meeting with academics, reading clubs public libraries and students of the University for the Elderly and People's University of Cartagena.
Also, this Wednesday morning, she will meet with 600 high school students in the auditorium of the UPCT.
Fortes' novel, with whom he won the Prix Fernando Lara, tells the story of love and war photographer Robert Capa and Gerda Taro in Paris in 1935 and Spain during the Civil War, and has attracted the attention of the prestigious U.S. filmmaker Michael Mann (author of films such as Heat, Ali and Collateral), which is already developing a script for this project.
THE WORK
Waiting for Robert Capa (Planeta, 2009), is set in Spain in the presence of the famous Hungarian-born American photojournalist who left a universal image of the war in instant death of the policeman, now a question.
Susana Fortes's work competes with other two novels, End of David Monteagudo, and I want to be punk Gopegui Bethlehem.
The three works are being read by almost 2,000 young people between 15 and 30 who make up the jury of the sixth Mandarache Prize, and in April, after the passage of all the authors in Cartagena, vote your favorite novel.
